Recently, Ilhan Omar expressed her affection for her home country of Somalia, and I would like to encourage her to return to the land she loves.

When she left Somalia for a better life in America, she was welcomed with open arms and given opportunities she would not have experienced in her homeland. However, rather than showing her gratitude, she has repeatedly made disparaging comments about our great country.

As she said:

"To have a democracy, a beacon of hope, for the world to now be turned into one of the worst countries, where the military are in our streets, without any regard for people's Constitutional rights, while our president is spending millions of dollars propping himself up, like a failed dictator with a military parade.”

One of the worst countries?

When she told Somali Americans that her “number one job” was to look out for Somalia, I knew it was probably time for her to pack up and return to her homeland.

And then, when she said this recently about Charlie Kirk, “I am not going to sit here, and be judged for not wanting to honor any legacy this man has left behind, that should be in the dustbin of history, and we should hopefully move on and forget the hate that he spewed every single day.”

I felt called to facilitate her sojourn back to the land she loves: Somalia. If you hold public office in the great country of the United States, perhaps the words out of your mouth should reflect the love and pride you have, instead of the disdain. Now, on to the important stuff. I found tickets on American Airlines; unfortunately, there are no direct flights and nothing with fewer than three stops.

It’s a long day of travel, so I recommend having plenty of snacks, shows downloaded, and books to read. Don't forget things like Tylenol and other items for emergencies.
