This week, I am super excited to share the book trailer I made for my upcoming book, UNWOKE.
This book is a collection of satirical essays that are meant to be silly fun, though I am certain someone out there will get offended by it.
This will be the Amazon description:
Jebra did everything right.
She marched. She masked. She keyed six cars with Trump stickers in a single afternoon. She decolonized her guest bathroom, staged a four-hour hunger strike, and cut off everyone who didn’t vote correctly.
She was, by any reasonable progressive measure, one of the good ones.
Then something went wrong.
UNWOKE is the fictional memoir of one suburban Los Angeles mother’s eight-year descent into ideological certainty and her embarrassing, reluctant, deeply funny crawl back out.
Part social satire, part cautionary tale, and entirely a political fever dream filtered through organic kombucha and performative virtue, these essays follow Jebra through CHAZ, an ecosexual wedding, a decolonized Thanksgiving, a crypto scam, a rage choir, and the slow realization that she may have been the problem all along.
A love letter to no one. A warning to everyone.
Look how much they are enjoying it!
Right before her friends canceled Jebra! Boo!
It was great fun to write this book. I will be doing weekly audio drop of the chapters and will keep you posted. Do you prefer audio, ebooks, or physical books? Let me know, please!
